How the daily puzzle works
Each calendar day (in your local time zone) has its own easy, medium, hard, expert and evil puzzle. Switch level with the tabs above; your progress on each one is saved in this browser until the day changes.
The daily grids come from the same graded bank as the rest of the site, so every one has exactly one solution and can be solved with logic alone. The difficulty label tells you which techniques you will need.
- Easy — scanning and naked singles only.
- Medium — adds hidden singles in rows and columns.
- Hard — adds pointing pairs, box-line reduction, pairs and triples.
- Expert — adds the X-Wing, Swordfish or XY-Wing.
- Evil — adds short chains: coloring, W-Wing or XYZ-Wing.
